Well, well...

Blogger is trying to tell me that I'm out of photo storage once again! Are you kidding me?
Last August, I created a new email and started a fresh new blog account so it's been seven months ago now. The Purple Squirrel blog I had for over three years and upload way more photos. I don't get it... so I could pay for more photo space (which makes the tightwad in me cringe,) try another blogger-blog, try a different type of  blog, or just give up. Do any of you have to pay for photo space? or have you ever been told you're out of space?  I'm thinking it's time for a new venue. I'll keep you posted what I decide to do.
It's just not the photo space, I'm really discouraged with blogger for many reasons.

I'll add your new blog to my reader. :)

Yeah, the space thing rather sucks...

It's not that you are out of space with Blogger so to speak. It's that you're out of space on Picasa. All of your photos from all of your blogs on Blogger go to one spot on Picasa. You could head over there and delete old photos if you want to free up some space.

I had the same problem with running out of space on Picasa and then not being able to add more photos on Blogger. I've started printing out yearly books of my posts and photos using Blurb at the end of each year. Then I can delete all of the photos at Picasa, delete my old blog posts, and start new each year. Now I never run out of room. Just a thought... :)

Wanted to mention...even if you delete an old blog, all of the photos that were there are still sitting at Picasa, which can be really nice if you've ever had a, "Oh I wish I still had a copy of that picture" moment...cuz they are all there. But they do take up space..and eventually some need to be deleted at Picasa, or you have to pay for extra storage. Starting a new blog will not do the trick. Only saying this because I had the same thing happen to me about 4 years ago.

Thanks Tammy. I'll work on deleting photos and see if that helps. I really don't want to move.... or start a new blog. I worked on an old wordpress blog that I never did anything with back in 2008 yesterday.
The wordpress blog is sort of nice though. If I get the hang of it.

We have had to pay for storage too, took about 2 1/2 years to get to that stage though. I have heard that you "store" all photos you upload and not just the ones you use.i always look at the pics and choose which ones i want to put on the blog first before uploading. If it wasnt for the fact that I use Blogger as a record of our homeschool doings I wouldnt bother, but then again $5 a year isnt too bad, I guess!
